A. Baker gave an effective upper bound for the solution of Thue equations in 1968. About a decade later Emery Thomas gave the solutions of families of Thue equations, first of all that belonging to the family of simplest cubic fields [J. Number Theory 43, No. 3, 319--369 (1993; Zbl 0774.11013)]. The present paper extends Thomas's result to the relative case, namely it considers the equation \[ x^3-tx^2y-(t+1)xy^2-y^3=\mu \] where all elements and the variables are contained in the same imaginary quadratic number field, \(\mu\) being a root of unity, \(t\) is an integral parameter and \(x,y\) are variables. The solutions are listed for any imaginary quadratic number field, any root of unity \(\mu\) and any integer parameter \(t\) in the field with \(| t| >2.88\cdot 10^{33}\). This approach is really an invention and will certainly have a considerable influence.
