The authors prove the existence of two critical points of a locally Lipschitz functional under local linking assumptions. The result extends to the nonsmooth case the result of \textit{H. Brézis} and \textit{L. Nirenberg} [Commun. Pure Appl. Math., 44, No. 8/9, 939--963 (1991; Zbl 0751.58006)]. Finally two applications of the theorem are given: to periodic problems driven by the ordinary vector \(p\)-Laplacian and to elliptic equations at resonance driven by the partial \(p\)-Laplacian with Dirichlet boundary condition.
