Closed range mild solution operators and nonconvex optimal control via orthogonality and generalized gradients (Q1347443): Difference between revisions

The paper analyses the mild solutions of a class of evolution problems and the authors extend and unify in a non-trivial way to the nonautonomous case several recent results in this direction. After defining the class of mild solution operators associated to the evolution equation, the authors establish several properties related to compactness and embeddings. Some necessary conditions of optimality are also contained in the paper. The abstract results are formulated in terms of generalized gradients in the sense of Clarke, tangent cones to the constraint set, orthogonality properties or range relationship.
