    In this interesting paper at first the authors study the existence of non-trivial solutions in \(L^ p({\mathbb{R}}^ n)\) of: \[ -\lambda \Delta u+u=Q(x)| u|^{\sigma}u,\quad \lambda \in {\mathbb{R}},\quad x\in {\mathbb{R}}^ N;\quad u(x)\to 0\quad as\quad | x| \to +\infty, \] where Q(x) is continuous, positive and invariant under the action of a subgroup of O(N). In this way they obtain an extension of some previous results of \textit{P. L. Lions} [Ann. Inst. Henri Poincaré, Anal. Non linéaire 1, 109-145 (1984; Zbl 0541.49009)] and \textit{W.-Y. Ding} and \textit{W.-M. Ni} [Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal. 91, 283-308 (1986; Zbl 0616.35029)]. They also prove that there is a bifurcation at \(\lambda =0\) for \(1\leq p<+\infty\) and no bifurcation for \(p=+\infty\).
