Let \(Q_k=\{x\in \mathbb{R}^n; |x_i|\leq 2^k, i=1,2,\cdots,n\}\) and \(C_k=Q_k \setminus Q_{k-1}\) for \(k\in \mathbb{Z}\). Let \(\chi_k\) denote the characteristic function of the set \(C_k\). For a function \(f\) and a nonnegative weight function \(\omega(x)\), one writes \(|f|_{L_\omega^q(\mathbb{R}^n)}= \bigl(\int_{\mathbb{R}^n}|f(x)|^q\omega(x) dx\bigr)^{1/q}\). For \(\alpha\in \mathbb{R}\), \(0<p, q<\infty\), and nonnegative weight functions \(\omega_1\), \(\omega_2\), the non-homogeneous weighted Herz space \(K_q^{\alpha, p}(\omega_1, \omega_2)\) is defined in terms of \(|f|_{K_q^{\alpha, p}(\omega_1, \omega_2)}\) \(=\bigl\{[\omega_1(Q_0)]^{\alpha p/n} |f\chi_{Q_0}|_{L_{\omega_2}^q(\mathbb{R}^n)}^p+\sum_{k=1}^\infty[\omega_1(Q_k) ]^{\alpha p/n}|f\chi_{Q_k}|_{L_{\omega_2}^q(\mathbb{R}^n)}^p\bigr\}^{1/p}\) by letting \(K_q^{\alpha, p}(\omega_1, \omega_2)=\{f\in L_{\roman{loc}}^q(\mathbb{R}^n, \omega_2); |f|_{K_q^{\alpha, p}(\omega_1, \omega_2)}<\infty\}\). \(K_q^{\alpha,p}(1,1)\) was first introduced by \textit{C. S. Herz} [J. Math. Mech. 18, 283-323 (1968; Zbl 0177.15701)]\ with different but equivalent norms and notations. Following \textit{S. Lu} and \textit{D. Yang} [Stud. Math. 101, No. 3, 285-298 (1992; Zbl 0811.42005); Sci. China, Ser. A 38, No. 6, 662-673 (1995; Zbl 0832.42013)], the authors introduce Hardy spaces \(HK_q^{\alpha, p}(\omega_1, \omega_2)\) and tent spaces \(TK_q^{\alpha, p}(\omega_1, \omega_2)\) associated with these weighted Herz spaces \(K_q^{\alpha, p}(\omega_1, \omega_2)\). They continue the studies of Lu and Yang, and give \(\varphi\)-transform and wavelet characterizations for these spaces. For \(\varphi\)-transform, see \textit{M. Frazier} and \textit{B. Jawerth} [Lect. Notes Math. 1302, 223-246 (1988; Zbl 0648.46038) or J. Funct. Anal. 93, No. 1, 34-170 (1990; Zbl 0716.46031)].
