Let G/K be a homogeneous complex manifold with an invariant volume. \textit{J. Hano} and \textit{S. Kobayashi} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 94, 233-243 (1960; Zbl 0097.372)] have constructed a fibration G/K\(\to^{\phi}G/L\) such that the basis is a homogeneous symplectic manifold with 2-forms \(\sigma\), \(\phi^* \sigma =R\) (R is the Ricci curvature) and R is zero on the fibers. In this paper, the author proves that when G/K is a homogeneous Kähler manifold with nonpositive Ricci curvature, then G/L has a homogeneous complex structure, is biholomorphic to a bounded homogeneous domain, \(\phi\) is holomorphic, and L/K is flat. The proof is in two parts. At first the author proves that L/K is flat, using a generalization of a theorem of Cheeger-Gromoll about the structure of Kähler homogeneous manifolds with nonnegative Ricci curvature. At the second, the structure of G/L is given, using a decomposition of the Lie algebra of L in a semi-direct product of the Lie algebra of K with an ideal of Lie(L).
