A marginally trapped surface in Lorentz-Minkowski space is defined as a spacelike surface with isotropic mean curvature vector. For such surfaces the authors give a conformal representation in terms of meromorphic data. This extends the Weierstrass representation for minimal surfaces and the Bryant representation for mean curvature one surfaces in hyperbolic space [\textit{R. L. Bryant}, Astérisque 154--155, 321--347 (1987; Zbl 0635.53047)]. A global Bernstein type theorem for surfaces of Bryant type is also given.
