A parabolic equation with nonlinear convection is considered. The Dirichlet condition is imposed on the boundary. For this problem, the spatial derivative of the solution may blow up on the boundary while the solution itself stays bounded. The blow-up rate of the gradient is derived here for solutions that develop a singularity in infinite time.
