An improved iteration regularization method is presented for solving linear inverse problems. The algorithm considered is given in detail, and it is proven that the computational cost for the proposed method is nearly the same as that of the Landweber iteration method. However, the number of iteration steps by the present method is even less. The optimal asymptotic order of convergence for the regularized solution is obtained by choosing a posterior regularization parameter based on Morozov's discrepancy principle. The present method is applied to the identification of the multi-source dynamic loads on a surface of the plate. Numerical simulation of two examples demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed method.
