The authors study the characterization of the action of a general semisimple Lie group \(G\) on the space \(G/P\) where \(P\) is a minimal parabolic subgroup. First, they discuss the parabolic subgroups of nonconnected simple Lie groups, then they define the various notions of contact and conformal maps and prove that the action of \(G\) on \(G/P\) satisfies the conditions in the definitions of these maps. Next they consider multicontact vector fields (generating flows of multicontact transformations). All these fields are polynomials in canonical coordinates. It follows that the infinitesimally multicontact vector fields are exactly the vector fields coming from the differential of the action of \(G\) on \(G/P\). The main result is a global Liouville type result. Any \(C^2\) multicontact map from \({\mathcal U}\) to \({\mathcal V}\) is the restriction to \({\mathcal U}\) of a translation by an element in \(G\).
