The authors continue the studies devoted to initial-boundary value problems in the theory of transient ion-acoustic waves in a nonmagnetized plasma. Classical solvability of the problem of excitation of two-dimensional transient ion-acoustic waves by a two-sided curvilinear segment in a nonmagnetized plasma is analyzed. The proof of the solvability is based on the reduction of an initial problem to a system of integral equations by means of dynamic potentials constructed by the authors.
