The paper considers stabilizability of a class of nonlinear, uncertain, interconnected systems described by \[ z_ i=f_ i(t,z_ i,u_ i,v_ i)+g_ i(t,z),\quad 1\leq i\leq N, \] where \(z_ i\), \(u_ i\) and \(v_ i\) are the state, input and the uncertainty of the i-th subsystem respectively, and \(g_ i(t,z)\) represents the effects of other subsystems on the i-th one with \(z=(z_ 1,z_ 2,...,z_ N)\) being the overall state. The paper provides local and global structural conditions on \(f_ i\) and \(g_ i\) for the existence of local (decentralized) feedback control laws which guarantee ultimate boundedness and asymptotic stability of the overall closed-loop system. The results are illustrated by a second order example which is viewed is interconnection of two scalar subsystems.
