Interval computation-related formulae are proposed describing the distribution of numerical data. On the base of these formulae the authors consider the general problem of determining subjective probabilities on finite and infinite intervals. Certain special empirical facts related to the distribution of the first digits in physical constants, the frequent use of the first pages in logarithm tables and the lifetime of the Universe are discussed.
