The orbital stability of the peaked solitons for the Novikov equation has been investigated. The Novikov equation is a generalization of the well known Camassa-Holm equation, which is an integrable system; i.e., it has peaked solitons and multi-peakons. The Novikov equation also has peaked solitons. The main result of the paper is that the authors show that the peaked solitons are stable under small perturbation in the energy space.
