Fourier based harmonic analysis in Hilbert space \(L^2\) is developed for Bernoulli convolutions considered as fractal measures. Analytic extension of the spectral function is investigated and sufficient conditions under which the transfer operator is contractive (and hence corresponds to a spectral pair for a Bernoulli measure) is proved.
