    Perfect binary arrays are used to prove that if an Abelian group \(G= H\times K\times Z_{p^\alpha}\) (\(p\) an odd prime, \(|K|= p^\alpha\), \(p^j\equiv -1\pmod{\exp(H)}\)) contains a Hadamard (Menon) difference set, then \(G\) must be cyclic.
