The authors introduce and study a class of expansions of \(p\)-adic numbers into series of rational numbers. They are similar to expansions of real numbers considered by \textit{A. Oppenheim} [Acta Arith. 21, 391--398 (1972; Zbl 0258.10003)] and cover certain expansions studied earlier by the authors [J. Number Theory 32, 297--306 (1989; Zbl 0683.10030)].
