A lattice-ordered abelian group (\(l\)-group) \(G\) is called ultrasimplicial if each of its finite sets of positive elements belongs to the monoid generated by some finite set of positive \(Z\)-independent elements in \(G\). The author proves that if \(G\) is an \(n\)-generated archimedean \(l\)-group such that the maximal \(l\)-ideals of \(G\) of rank \(n\) are dense in the space \(\max(G)\) of maximal \(l\)-ideals equipped with the hull-kernel topology, then \(G\) is ultrasimplicial. The corresponding results for free abelian \(l\)-groups and totally ordered abelian groups are then shown as corollaries.
