The authors continue their investigations on Zariski-dense subgroups of connected semisimple algebraic groups \(G(K)\) [Math.~Res.~Lett. 10, No. 1, 21--32 (2003; Zbl 1029.22020)]. They give some generalisations of results of this paper, which lead to answers of questions arisen from those results. One result deals with Zariski-dense subsemigroups of \(G(K)\) in relation to a certain dense subgroup of a Cartan subspace of the \(p\) of a Cartan decomposition. This result can be improved, if Schanuel's conjecture -- a conjecture in transcendental number theory [compare \textit{J.~Ax}, Ann. Math. 93, 252--268 (1971; Zbl 0232.10026)] -- is assumed to be true. A number of additional remarks on the subject completes the article.
