In this paper, by introducing sufficiently localized operators, the authors characterize the compactness of the operators on the Fock space \(H^2(\mathbb{C}^n, d\mu)\). A bounded operator \(B\) on \(H^2(\mathbb{C}^n, d\mu)\) is said to be sufficiently localized if there exist constants \(2n<\beta<\infty\) and \(0<C<\infty\) such that \[ \left|\langle Bk_z, k_w\rangle\right|\leq\frac C{\left(1+|z-w|\right)^\beta} \] for all \(z, w\in\mathbb{C}^n\). The authors show that, if \(A\) is in the \(C^*\)-algebra generated by the class of sufficiently localized operators, then \(A\) is compact if and only if its Berezin transform \(\langle Bk_z, k_z\rangle\) vanishes at infinity. This class contains many familiar operators, including all Toeplitz operators with bounded symbols.
