Let \(G\) be a connected reductive linear group over an algebraically closed field \(k\) of characteristic \(p>0\). Given a \(G\)-action on a finitely generated commutative \(k\)-algebra \(A\), the question is whether the Hochschild cohomology ring is finitely generated. The main result says that if \(p\) is sufficiently large (with respect to the rank of \(G\)) and \(A\) has a good filtration then every Noetherian \(A\)-module has finite good filtration dimension.
