The authors investigate the asymptotic stability of the Couette flow in 2D, between two plates \(0 < y < 1\) and in the periodic setting (in \(x\)). They prove that the Couette flow is stable with respect to small perturbations in Gevrey space. More precisely, they prove that for initial data close to Couette flow in Gevrey space, the solution of Euler equations converge weakly to a nearby shear flow, as time goes to infinity.
