The authors consider the problem of stabilizing a class of uncertain nonlinear delay systems by a linear feedback control. In the class under consideration, the nonlinear uncertainties in the state as well as the time-varying parameter uncertainties in the control are assumed to have their values in the image of the nominal input matrix. The author construct a linear feedback which is shown to achieve global asymptotic stability for all systems in the class, provided an extra technical assumption involving the solution of a certain Lyapunov equation is satisfied.
