The authors are concerned with the following fourth-order nonlinear differential equation \[ y^{(4)}=\omega F(t,y(t),y'(t)),\quad 0<t<1, \] where the nonlinearity \(F\) which represents the bending moments, is continuous, positive and satisfies upper and lower growth conditons while the coefficient \(\omega\) is integrable over \((0,1)\). The equation is subject to integral boundary conditions. Using the cone compression and expansion fixed point theorem, the authors prove existence of positive solutions.
