The authors consider oscillatory integrals on \(L^2(\mathbb{R})\) of the form \[ (Af)(x)= \int^{+\infty}_{-\infty} e^{itS(x,y)} g(x,y) f(y)dy, \] where \(g\) is a smooth cut-off function supported in a small neighborhood of the origin, and the phase \(S(x,y)\) is real analytic. Assuming that \(S(x,y)\) is arbitrarily degenerate, one can consider the Newton polyhedron associated to \(S(x,y)\), and define the corresponding decay rate \(r\). The authors prove that \[ \| A\|\sim t^{-r/2}\quad\text{as }t\to+ \infty. \] This extends results obtained previously by the present authors and others. The proof involves a delicate analysis of the geometry of the manifold \(Z= \{D_x D_yS(x,y)= 0\}\), which can be extremely complicated in the generic case.
