A formula for expressing the dimension of intersection of \(k\) subspaces in a finite-dimensional vector space is given in this short article. These subspaces are interpreted as column-spaces of matrices \(A_i\), \(i=1,2,\dots,k\). The dimension of their intersection equals the sum of the ranks of all the matrices \(A_i\), minus the rank of a certain block matrix which is composed from the matrices \(A_i\) and zero matrices.
