The authors consider a generalization of the one-dimensional Schrödinger equation when the potential is a complex-valued \(m\times m\) matrix with integrable entries having finite first moments. When the matrices representing the reflection coefficients from the left and from the right are rational functions, using the Marchenko method, the corresponding potential is computed explicitly in terms of minimal realizations of the reflection coefficients [\textit{H. Bart, I. Gohberg}, and \textit{M. A. Kaashoek}, Minimal factorization of matrix and operator functions, Birkhäuser, Basel (1979; Zbl 0424.47001)].
