The author extends a theory previously presented by \textit{J. F. Cariñena}, \textit{L. A. Ibort}, \textit{J. Gomis}, and the author [Nuovo Cim. B 98, 172-196 (1987)] of canonical transformations for constrained systems to the actions of Lie groups on these systems. An application to construct the Poincaré realizations of a free particle is given.
