A finite weakly decreasing sequence of positive integers \(\lambda = (\lambda_1, \dots , \lambda_r)\) is called a partition with length \(l(\lambda)=r\) and weight \(|\lambda|= \sum_{i}\lambda_i\). The family of Jack polynomials is an indexed by partitions and form the basis of the algebra of symmetric functions with rational coefficients in some positive real parameter \(\alpha\) such that \[ J_{\lambda}(\alpha)= \sum_{|\rho|=|\lambda|)} \theta_{\rho}^{\lambda}(\alpha) p_{\rho}. \] Thus it is a development in terms of the power sums of symmetric functions. In this study the author presented a positivity conjecture for the coefficients in the development in terms of the power sums. It was claimed that the present study is an extension of Stanley's conjecture (on normalized characters of the symmetric groups) by providing a proof on using the rectangular shape.
