The purpose of this paper is to study the Schrödinger equation \[ iu_t=Hu,\text{ where } H \] is a Jacobi operator with asymptotically constant coefficients. The main theorem is a statement that solutions of (1) cannot decay too fast at two different times unless it is trivial. Several similar theorems from the literature are also given. The proofs use exponential type, trigonometrically convex floor functions, Jost solutions, Wronskian and Schrödinger evolutions.
