The authors utilize weighted generalizations for convex functions of some classical inequalities (Jensen, Petrović, Jensen-Steffensen, and the majorization theorem) to obtain monotonicity theorems for a number of functions involving the \(q\)-gamma function. As an example of their results, Theorem 2.2 is quoted. Let \[ p_1,\dots, p_n,\;x_1,\dots, x_n\in\mathbb{N},\qquad q\in (0,1), \] and set \[ P= p_1+\cdots+ p_n,\qquad\overline x= {p_1x_1+\cdots+ p_nx_n\over P}; \] then the function \[ F(x)= {\prod^{j= n}_{j= 1} \Gamma_q(x+ x_j)^{p_j}\over \Gamma_q(x+\overline x)^P}, \] is completely monotonic on \((0,\infty)\).
