Let \(L\) be a \(d\)-dimensional lattice in \(\mathbb{R}^d\), and \(S= S_q(c,r)\) be the ellipsoid of center \(c\) and radius \(r\) for a positive quadratic form \(q\). Then \(S\) is said to be an empty ellipsoid in \(L\) if \(q(v- c)= r^2\) for all \(v\in L\) and \(S\cap L\) has affine rank \(d+1\). The convex hull of the set \(S\cap L\) is called a Delaunay polytope, and the author studies extreme Delaunay polytopes. That are Delaunay polytopes whose only affine bijective transformations generating again Delaunay polytopes are the homotheties. Examples of extreme Delaunay polytopes for some special dimensions were known before. Here the author constructs a \(d\)-dimensional extreme Delaunay polytope for any \(d\geq 6\).
