This paper is concerned with the identification of a temperature dependent heat conductivity in an elliptic partial differential equation from a single boundary measurement. Theoretical analysis and numerical results show that the recently developed adaptive grid regularization method is a powerful tool to identify discontinuous heat conductivities.
