Let \(f: (X,x) \to (\mathbb{C}, 0)\) be a holomorphic function on an analytic germ \((X,x)\). Using the so-called carrousel construction of Lê the Lefschetz number and the zeta function of the monodromy of the neighbouring cycles are computed.
