The inverse spectral problem is studied for the differential equation \[ -y''(x)+q(x)y(a)=\lambda y(x),\; 0<x<\pi \] with separated boundary conditions, i.e. the problem of recovering the potential $q(x)$ from the given spectrum. A constructive procedure for solving this inverse problem along with necessary and sufficient conditions of its solvability are obtained. The uniqueness of the solution of the inverse problem is proved.
