The author gives necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of radial limits of frational derivatives of functions belonging to certain subspaces of the Hardy space \(H^ p\), namely the space \[ K^ p(\phi):=\phi \bar H^ p_ 0\cap H^ p, \] where \(\phi\) is an inner function and \[ \bar H^ p_ 0=\{e^{-it}\bar f(e^{it}): f\in H^ p\}\quad (1<p<\infty). \] The results extend those of a previous paper of the same author [Am. J. Math. 108, 719-749 (1986; Zbl 0607.30034)]. In order to get an idea what the conditions look like, we mention the following special case. Let \(| a| =1\). Then \(\lim_{\gamma \to 1}f^{(n)}(ra)\) exists for all \(f\in K^ p(\phi)\) if and only if \[ \sum \frac{1-| a_ k|}{| a-a_ k|^{q(n+1)}}+\int_{T}\frac{d\sigma (\zeta)}{| a-\zeta |^{q(n+1)}}<\infty,\quad (1/p+1/q=1), \] where \(a_ k\) are the zeros of the inner function \(\phi\) and where \(\sigma\) is the singular measure associated with \(\phi\).
