After extending the pseudo-division algorithm for multivariable polynomial to matrix multivariable polynomial, one obtains necessary and sufficient condition for transforming a class of partial differential equations into an infinite-dimensional Hamiltonian system and its concrete form. Combining this procedure with a method of \textit{Wu Wenyu} [Mechanical geometry theorem proving. Progress in Nat. Sci. 1, 1-14 (1992; in Chinese)] a new method of constructing general solution of a class of mechanical equations is derived. Four examples illustrate the effectiveness of the results.
