The author studies codimension-one foliations of 3-dimensional Riemannian manifolds with leaves of constant mean curvature that can vary from leaf to leaf. The foliations are allowed to have isolated center singularities, that is, points having deleted neighborhoods which are foliated by compact leaves. The author proves that the leaves become round upon approaching a center singularity. He also derives curvature estimates for such foliations and obtains a complete existence, uniqueness and non-existence result for constant mean curvature foliations around a center. These results are extended to constant mean curvature foliations on asymptotically flat ends.
