The authors prove that there are at most finitely many diffeomorphism classes of prime non-geometrizable three-manifolds which admit a metric of bounded geometry, that is, with bounded sectional curvatures and bounded volume. The proof utilizes the theory by \textit{J. Cheeger} and \textit{M. Gromov} about collapsing Riemannian manifolds [J. Differ. Geom. 23, 309--346 (1986; Zbl 0606.53028) and ibid. 32, 269--298 (1990; Zbl 0727.53043)] combined with three--manifold topology.
