This paper gives several technical results on topological invariants of maps built from triangulated categories of differential graded modules over the cochains of a space, or the cochains of a loop space (the most studied invariants are called \textit{levels}). Some inequalities are given in special cases, relating for example these invariants to Lusternik-Schnirelmann category.
