For a mildly nonlinear system, that is, a system of the form \(Ax=F(x)\), where \(A \in \mathbb{R}^{n \times n}\) is an \(n\)-by-\(n\) sparse real symmetric positive definite matrix and \(F: \mathbb {R}^{n} \rightarrow \mathbb{R}^{n}\) is a nonlinear function, a new nonstationary multisplitting method is discussed. This new method is constructed in Section 2 (method 2.1), while its convergence analysis is established in Section 3 (Theorems 3.4 and 3.6). Numerical aspects of this method are also considered in Example 3.1. {Note:} Although involved in both main convergence Theorems 3.4 and 3.6, the quantity \(s(i,j)\) is nowhere introduced or explained.
