Summary: In this paper, we introduce generalized \(\alpha\)-\(\eta\)-fuzzy contractive mappings and generalized \(\beta\)-\(\zeta\)-fuzzy contractive mappings and prove existence of fixed point for such mappings. Our results generalize and improve the recent work of \textit{D. Gopal} and \textit{C. Vetro} [Iran. J. Fuzzy Syst. 11, No. 3, 95--107 (2014; Zbl 1338.54167)]. Some equivalent conditions of our results are presented. Also, an example is given to support our new results.
