This paper is concerned with the exact controllability of first order impulsive functional differential inclusions with infinite delay. More precisely, the author considers the following problem, \[ x'(t)-Ax(t)\in F(t,x_t) \;a.e. \;t\in I:=[0,b],\;t\not=t_k,\;k=1,\dots,m, \] \[ x(t_k^+)-x(t_k)=I_k(x(t_k)),\;k=1,\dots,m, \] \[ x(t)=\phi(t),\;t\in(-\infty,0], \] where \(F:J\times BM_h\to 2^X\) is a multivalued map with compact and convex values, \((X,| \cdot| )\) is a Banach space, \(BM_h\) is some abstract phase space, \(2^X\) is the family of all nonempty subsets of \(X\), the linear part \(A: X\to X\) is the infinitesimal generator of a \(C_0-\)semigroup on a Banach space \(X\) and the control parameter \(u(\cdot)\) belongs to \(L^{2}(J,U)\), the space of admissible controls, with \(U\) a Banach space, and \(\phi\in BM_h\). For every \(t\in[0,b]\), the history function \(x_t: (-\infty, 0] \to X\) is defined by \[ x_t(\theta)=x(t+\theta) \text{ for } \theta\in(-\infty,0]. \] We assume that the histories \(x_{t} : (-\infty , 0]\to X\) belong to the abstract phase space \(BM_h.\) The base tool of the result is a nonlinear alternative of Leray-Schauder type for multi-valued maps. One example is presented. The result extends some one considered by [\textit{M. Benchohra, L. Górniewicz, S. K. Ntonyas} and \textit{A. Onahab}, Rep. Math. Phys. 54, No.~2, 211--228 (2004; Zbl 1130.93310)].
