The principal tool of the paper is the combinatorial labelling of the weights of an irreducible representation \(\pi\) (where \(\pi=\{\pi_ 1\geq \pi_ 2\geq \pi_ 3 \geq\cdots \pi_ r\}\) is a partition) by a suitable collection of tableaux of shape \(\pi\), so that if the weight \(\mu\) has multiplicity \(m\), then there are precisely \(m\) tableaux corresponding to \(\mu\). The alphabet of symbols \(\{1 < \bar 1 < 2 < \bar 2 < \dots < r < \bar r < \infty\}\) needed for the case of the simple complex classical Lie algebra \(so(2r+1,\mathbb{C})\) is assembled into tableaux obeying Sundaram's modification of the King-El-Sharkaway rules. Berele's adaptions of the Schensted insertion schemes for this alphabet are incorporated in a set of algorithms allowing the combinatorial resolution of the tensor product of the spin representation with an arbitrary irreducible representation of \(so(2r+1,\mathbb{C})\).
