Let \(G\) be a locally compact group, \(\sigma \) be a continuous involution of \(G\) and \(\mu \) be a complex bounded measure. The authors give, under some additional assumptions, solutions \(f,g:G\to \mathbb{C}\) of the equation \[ \int_G f(xty)d\mu (t)+\int_G f(\sigma (y)tx)d\mu (t)=2f(x)g(y),\qquad x,y\in G. \] Moreover, they present a superstability result on this equation.
