The motion of \(n\) material points relative to a ''main body'' according to Newton's law is described by a system of equations invariant under certain linear transformations and depending on a small parameter. Considering generating periodic orbits, at first with zero eccentricity and inclination, then with non-zero eccentricity and zero inclination, the author proves by continuation with respect to the small parameter the existence of resonant periodic solutions of the first and second kind. The phenomenon of alignment of planets is emphasized. The results are also applied to a Sun-planet-satellites system.
