The definition of the concept of cut set of an intuitionistic fuzzy set and an interval-valued fuzzy set is introduced, and some decomposition and representation theorems are formulated and proved. The paper contains some new ideas, but it seems that in some cases the authors ignore the research of their colleagues done throughout the last 25 years on the same topics.
