Continuing the second author's work [ibid. 26, No. 1, 73-119 (1988; Zbl 0679.70010)] a quantization procedure is defined for Hamiltonian systems on matrix groups \(\text{GL}^ +(n,\mathbb{R})\), \(\text{U}(n)\) and on the linear space of all matrices \(\text{L}(n,\mathbb{R})\). Highly symmetric models invariant under geometrically distinguished large subgroups of the group of multiplicative and additve matrix translations are considered. The authors are able to reduce the problem with \(n^ 2\) degrees of freedom to \(n\) degrees of freedom. Though the work seems to describe hypothetical objects, it is pointed out that they have possible applications in molecular and nuclear dynamics. Models based on the present work, being in principle rigorously solvable, do describe certain aspects of intermolecular forces.
