This paper concerns a delayed neural network of two coupled oscillators with excitatory-to-excitatory connection. The main focus is on the effect of the connection strength on the dynamical behavior of the network. The results are summarized below. Firstly, a sufficient condition is provided to guarantee the absolute synchronization. Secondly, the existence and nonexistence of some special kinds of equilibria is studied. Thirdly, the authors discuss the local stability of equilibria. This leads to critical values of the connection strength. With this connection strength as a parameter, Hopf bifurcation is analyzed. By the way, there is a typo in the second formula of equation (1), where \(I(t-\tau)\) should be \(E(t-\tau)\).
