The Virasoro algebra is a class of important Lie algebras, which has been widely used in many physics areas and other mathematical branches, such as quantum physics, conformal field theory, Kac-Moody algebras, vertex algebras, and so on. It is well know that the centerless Virasoro algebra is called the Witt algebra. Let \(\mathrm{Diff}(V)\) be the Lie algebra of differential operators on \(V = \mathbb{C}((z))\), \(\mathbb{C}[[z]]\) or \(V=\mathbb{C}(z)\). In this paper, the authors explicitly describe all Lie algebra homomorphisms from \(\mathrm{sl}(2)\), Witt algebra, and Virasoro algebra to \(\mathrm{Diff}(V)\), such that \(L_0\) acts on V as a first-order differential operator.
